Who Do You Make Mini Helmets For?
I will do helmets for any football program that is interested. Living in the Tulsa area, the logistics are easiest for teams in Eastern Oklahoma. For my own collection, I have even worked with a team in the UK.

What Does It Take To Make a Mini?
I usually work with a coach, a booster, or a football mom--someone with the authority to work with me--to work out all the details. I need to borrow a set of all of the decals that will be used on the mini, including stripes if possible. In some cases, I can work without the decals, but the better samples I have, the better the helmet turns out. Typically the decals can be returned when the helmets are complete. If decals are not available, we may be able to work something else out for the artwork.
What is the Minimum Quantity?
Each project is different. Usually about half a dozen are necessary to make the project cost effective, but often as few as 2 or 3 helmets is enough, as long as the parts are available--it cannot hurt to ask. I can also do larger projects, including helmets for your entire team.
What Does It Cost?
Your cost are based on my costs. With that in mind, there are many things that can affect the costs of making mini helmets, but this is not a profit-making venture for me. Depending on the number of helmets ordered and the amount of detail involved, it can range anywhere from $16 each for a basic helmet in large quantities to $26 each for really detailed helmets in smaller quantities. Typically, it is around $21 in the Tulsa area, and $22 if they need to be shiped to you. As a frame of reference it costs $24-$30 to buy an NFL or NCAA helmet here in Tulsa.
How Long Does It Take?
Usually about 5-7 weeks; Sometimes more, sometimes less. It all depends on the time of year and the availability of parts. I depend on several vendors for both decals and shells for each project, so I have to wait for all the pieces to come in before I can put the helmets together. Trust me. I am looking forward to getting them done as quickly as you are.
